So many Americans know their credit scores, and it’s increasingly becoming more and more of an obsession.

According to the 2018 credit health survey from Discover, 85 percent of U.S. consumers are aware of their credit scores. This is up 12 points from last year’s 73 percent.

“It’s easier than ever for consumers to go out and check their scores at no cost to them,” says Jeff Bielski, vice president of marketing for Discover.
